Lingua Service LLC (“Lingua Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a U.S.-based certified translation company serving clients in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website at linguaservice.org (the “Website”) or request our services, how we use and protect it, how long we keep it, and your rights.
Personal Information We Collect
When you visit the Website, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and cookies installed on your device. As you browse, we collect information about the pages you view and how you reached and interact with the Website. We call this “Device Information,” collected through:

When you request a quote or place an order, we also collect your name, email address, phone number, and any billing details needed to process payment. We call this “Order Information.” Together, Device Information and Order Information are “Personal Information.”
Documents and Files You Submit
When you request a quote or place an order, you may upload documents for translation. These files, and any personal information in them, are treated separately from Device and Order Information.
We use your documents solely to prepare, deliver, and support the services you ordered. Access is limited to the staff and linguists assigned to your project, all of whom are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Where documents are processed through automated systems, that processing is carried out exclusively to deliver the service you requested and for internal quality control. We do not sell, license, share, or otherwise make your documents available to any third party for training, fine-tuning, or developing artificial-intelligence or machine-learning systems. Any internal language resources we develop to improve our own work remain internal to Lingua Service and are never made available to any third party.
How We Use Your Personal Information
- To fulfill the orders you place (including processing payment and sending confirmations and the finished Deliverables).
- To communicate with you about your request, quote, and order.
- To screen orders for potential risk or fraud.
We do not use your documents for any purpose other than providing the services you request.
How We Protect Your Information
- In transit: documents are submitted over an encrypted HTTPS/TLS connection.
- At rest: uploaded documents are stored in encrypted cloud storage (AES-256) on U.S. infrastructure.
- Access control: stored files are not public; access is limited to authorized personnel working on your project.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards consistent with applicable U.S. state data-security laws.
Sharing Your Personal Information
We share Personal Information only with service providers that help us operate — for example, our website host and storage provider, our email provider, and website analytics. We may also share Personal Information to comply with applicable laws, to respond to a subpoena, warrant, or other lawful request, or to protect our rights. We do not sell or rent your information.
Advertising
We do not use your Personal Information for targeted or behavioral advertising, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
Electronic Communications
By submitting a request, order, or inquiry, or by opting in through our website or forms, you consent to receive electronic communications from Lingua Service LLC by email or messaging (including WhatsApp). These may include notifications about requested services, quotes, payments, pending document actions, instructions needed to complete your project, billing alerts, and other transactional messages. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link; for text messages, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Message frequency may vary, and message and data rates may apply.
Do Not Track
Please note that we do not alter our Website’s data-collection practices in response to a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
Your Rights
You are entitled to the following regarding your personal data:

- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data, under certain conditions.

Data Retention & Automatic Deletion
We keep the documents you submit and the related request records only as long as needed to provide and support the service, and in any case no longer than 180 days from submission, after which they are automatically deleted from our storage. You may ask us to delete your documents sooner once your project is complete. We keep basic Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete it.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are directed to adults handling their own or their family’s documentation. We do not knowingly collect information from children except as part of a document a client submits for translation.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The effective date above reflects the most recent version.
